“ Came here for a team dinner. It is a little hard to find because it is Aquar Mare or something, you have go around to the back- by the Aqua mare door there is a little sign that has Seasalt written. The service was good, we got charcuterie board, very delicious and pretty design, and calamari. I got the Mushrooms risotto with shrimps ( exactly 3 big shrimp charged me 12 $ extra, a bit too expensive) , the risotto was good a little too salty but otherwise good. My team each liked their dinner, but service was definitely the highlight of the evening. ”
“ Very solidly 4 star. We ordered the ceviche and tuna tartare as apps, and the cod catch of the day and clam pasta as mains. The ceviche and tuna tartare were both ok/good but quite overpriced for the size and quality (chips were a bit stale, taste profile wasn't prefect). The cod was fine but not worth raving about. The clam pasta really saved the day; it was rich and light without being too creamy, with perfectly chewy al dente pasta. The patio view was very nice though, especially at sunset. Overall the bill came out to around $125 with tip, which was sort of pricey for everything else. Would come back just for the pastas and only on more of a special occasion! Pros: + Pasta dishes were very fresh and made well. + Views and patio ambience was nice. + Parking was easy, since they have a dedicated lot. + Staff is friendly. Cons: - Seafood apps and mains weren't as good as expected. - Prices are high for what it is. ”
“ Great place for a delicious lunch!!!! I don't know why it took me so long to eat here. I drive by this place once a week and just never stop in. Maybe because I was afraid of the parking. They have a 20 car lot in the back. I went at 12 am on Saturday and it was almost empty. No issues parking at that time, not sure about other times. Customer service was awesome. Our server, waiter seater, maybe the cook too was awesome. Our first time and he explained the menu, checked on us and the food came out quickly and correctly. The FOOD. Went with appetizers: Grilled Artichoke Hearts!!! - This is my new favorite dish in the world!!! I wasn't sure what to expect and what I got was some heaven on a plate. I have never had grilled hearts and these were grilled perfect with a perfect sauce and tender and so good. Did I mention they are pretty good? Ceviche - Very traditional and good. A pretty good amount of fresh shrimp and perfect combo of veggies, shrimp and juice. Mussels - Oh man, the sauce under these well-prepared mollusks! So delicious. This was a good bowl of mussels. Overall, this was one of the best lunches I have had in a while. So close to home, I will be back to try more menu items. ”
“ San Diego's Female Brunch Club had our kickoff event on 30Apr2022 and we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue! There were 28 of us in total for this brunch event, and Joe, Michael, and Hannah took EXCELLENT care of us! They ran a very efficient operation and got all of our orders accurately and food delivered in a timely manner. No mistakes were made, pretty amazing! All of the ladies enjoyed their food and had an awesome time! Many of them were new to this restaurant and were incredibly impressed with the exceptional service! Joe and his crew set us up in a private room on their outdoor deck and we had a nice view of the lagoon. It was a warm day, but not too hot, so the outdoor setting was perfect! For those of you interested in hosting large gatherings, I highly recommend Seasalt! They have a great brunch and lunch menu, and most items are under $20. Thank you Joe, Michael, and Hannah for making our first event a huge success! I look forward to partnering with you for future events! ”
“ Came here on new years day with a party of seven and we had mixed reviews. We then tried to order oysters but were told they were all out. We then tried to order sushi (which we had seen pictures of on yelp), but were informed that they were under new ownership and sushi was no longer on the menu. We then ordered the ceviche and shrimp bruschetta and both were pretty good. I would definitely order the bruschetta again. Between the entire party we ordered the branzino, half chicken, potato gnocchi, pasta, shrimp bruschetta, and halibut (if I recall correctly). Some of us were satisfied with our food and others found it lacking a bit. Drinks and service were both good. They bumped my 3.5 star rating to a 4 star rating. ”
“ I had to take the time to write a review. I was on the worst date but the dinner was Fantastic!!!! It's saved my night! I had the salmon and shared the wedge salad. As my date disrespectful reached for his phone to text away,,,,,rude! As I enjoyed my wine and finished my meal. I had a nice conversation with Coral, a sweet and so helpful waitress. The New owner Mauricio came over to ask how the meal was. I told him my salmon and my dates burger was cooked perfectly. I had a fantastic dinner, no 2nd date but at least I found a Fantastic new restaurant to go too. The restaurant is new to me and was so clean. The staff was so helpful and appreciative. Coral Fantastic Service!!!! I hope my date tipped you well? If he didn't please let me know? I'll come over and tip you for your great service. A MUST TRY!!!! Love it! ”
“ Just enjoyed a really nice lunch here. Great food, service and a nice view. Ordered the following: - Artichoke appetizer- this was amazing and I highly recommend ordering it! A little pricey at $14 but when you get it, you can see why. Beautifully done. -calamari- this was huge and very good. -coconut shrimp- these were delicious and the sweet chili dipping sauce paired nicely with it. ”
“ I came here for a grad dinner for 35+, and there was a fixed menu available. Seasalt is on Carmel Valley Rd & Via Cortina in Del Mar. They specialize in seafood, but also have steak and chicken on the menu. We had a few choices, but I went with the macadamia nut encrusted halibut. It came w/ a endive, beet & goat cheese salad, and bread pudding for dessert. Other entree choices were ribeye, chicken dijon and vegetarian pasta. First of all, the bitterness of the endive contrasted nicely w/ the sweetness of the beets, and savoriness of the goat cheese. It was a great use of veggies that are currently in season. The halibut was a big portion, and was accompanied w/ a nice risotto. I didn't leave any leftovers. Lastly, the bread pudding was a bit underwhelming. However, by this time we were snapping pics w/ the new Dr. Regarding the ambiance, its nice and open here with a great view. We had a great time with the patio, and later in a private room: 5 Stars. Likewise, the service was Grade A. Our primary waiter was super attentive for such a large party. I got drinks from the bar earlier, and the staff was equally nice and attentive: 5 Stars. I would def return to this quaint place w/ great food, excellent service and a nice view. I need to come to Del Mar more often. ”
